Progress towards women’s equality appears to have stalled after major gains in the 1960s.
An existential analysis suggests that the patriarchal cultural framework supported by the church-state complex must be challenged.
Difference feminism may provide an option. However, this would require changes in law, political economy, and the medical/sexological knowledge accepted in Denmark.
